God's Plan
As humans, we have limited reasoning. There are many things in the world that we cannot comprehend. One example is the pandemic we are experiencing at this time. Although we all have ideas about this situation, none of us understand it completely. However, God has a plan in this situation, and it will be fulfilled just as His plan for redemption was fulfilled.
When God created the world, He made everything perfect. We may think that everything was totally ruined when Adam and Eve partook of the forbidden fruit, but God already had a plan.
I Peter 1:18: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
Before He ever created the world, God knew that man would sin, and He formulated a plan to redeem us back to Himself. This plan is often referred to in the Bible as a mystery.
I Timothy 3:16: And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Our finite minds cannot understand why God would come down to Earth as a man, die a gruesome death, be resurrected, and return to Heaven. Nevertheless, this is His plan and it is eternally significant even though we cannot grasp it. However, when we obey the Gospel as it has been outlined in previous devotions, God reveals the purpose of His plan to us. We are no longer affected by the confusion in the world, but we are amazed by the infinite wisdom and power of God.
Romans 11:33: O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
