All In

God has made every possible effort to save mankind.

Sin against God requires rightful restitution. The sinless body of flesh was the best—and only— offering that was able to satisfy God’s requirement for justice. All the power, promise, and potency that God could give in a redemptive sacrifice was offered in Jesus Christ.

The earthly ministry of Jesus was a living expression of God’s compassion and mercy. He invested every ounce of strength toward his mission to save lost humanity. In the garden, Jesus came close to death in his prayers and physical anguish as he offered more and more of himself for God’s salvation plan.

Matthew 26:37 ...and (Jesus) began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

Matthew 26:38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death:

He continued to the death of the cross where, drop by drop, all his life and blood were poured out. Even after his breathing had stopped and his heart ceased to beat, he offered a little more. The solider pierced his side and the last drops of love offering spilled to the ground.

John 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

Jesus literally gave everything for us.

It is impossible to please God while holding back portions of our life. How can partial interest and lousy excuses compare to Jesus’ total war against sin on our behalf? He demands and deserves complete devotion and commitment because He gave it all.

“Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe.”
