Nothing Less Than the Best

Exodus 22:29 (ERV) At harvest time you should give me the first grain and the first juice from your fruit. Don't wait until late in the year. Give me your firstborn sons.

Leviticus 22:20-22 (KJV) But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you.  21 And whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD to accomplish his vow, or a freewill offering in beeves or sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein.  22 Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto the LORD, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto the LORD.

God has always expected the first fruits and the best. He will not accept offerings that are second-rate or leftover.  We make “offerings” to God today with our time, thoughts, actions, and finances.

Matthew 6:33 (KJV) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Put God first and He has promised to take care of our basic necessities.

Keep first things first.  In spite of fear and uncertainty, we must continue to put God first in all things and every way!
