Peace, Be Still

Mark 4:37-39 (KJV) 37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Jesus and His disciples were on a boat when they found themselves in the middle of a dangerous storm. The disciples called on Jesus and when He spoke, the situation changed. A great storm was turned into a great calm.

Have you ever felt that your life is like a big storm with constant turmoil? With everything going on in the world today, have you ever wondered if true peace even exists? The Word of God tells us how to find real peace.

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV) 6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Turn to God, for He is the “Peace Speaker.” The peace of God will keep you though the world is in constant turmoil.
